Dr. Salam Alhasani is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Clinical Professor based in Dubai, with over 20 years of combined clinical and teaching experience in urology and andrology. He serves as Programme Director of the Mediclinic Prostate Center of Excellence, leading a specialised service for men with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and other prostate-related disorders.
Within the Centre of Excellence in Specialised Prostate Treatment, Dr. Alhasani manages a structured prostate care pathway that spans medical therapy, diagnostic evaluation and surgical intervention, with a defined emphasis on minimally invasive and laser-based techniques. He is recognised as a Master Surgeon in the treatment of prostate diseases and has driven the introduction of key innovations in the MENA region, including first use of iTind in the region and first application of REZUM therapy for prostate disease in the UAE.
His clinical practice is organised around evidence-based protocols and individual risk profiles, aiming to balance symptom control, preservation of continence and sexual function, and long-term quality-of-life outcomes. By combining contemporary international guidelines with regional experience, he provides specialised prostate care to GCC patients within a multidisciplinary framework.

In parallel with his clinical and operative work, Dr. Salam Alhasani holds a central role in postgraduate urology training and academic activity. He is Head of Urology and Site Programme Director for the Mediclinic Urology Residency Training site, where he oversees residents' clinical exposure, operative case mix and progression through competency-based milestones.
Mediclinic Welcare Hospital functions as a key academic and clinical teaching partner of the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), and Dr. Alhasani serves as Clinical Professor in Dubai Medical College as well as a faculty member at MBRU. Through these posts, he contributes to structured undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, mentors emerging urologists in the UAE and supports development of residency placement frameworks in urology.
His academic focus includes contemporary prostate management, minimally invasive urological techniques and optimisation of residency training models, built on more than two decades of integrated clinical and teaching experience.
